Monterey-born photographer Colette English has been capturing the beauty of wildlife and landscapes since 2015, when her photography journey began in Japan. Immersed in Japan’s diverse natural environments and changing seasons, she developed a deep passion for photographing both wildlife and landscapes, honing a style that blends technical skill with an eye for natural beauty.
Now back in her hometown of Monterey for nearly four years, Colette specializes in marine-life photography which includes capturing sea otters, sea lions, orcas, and humpback whales, while also exploring seascapes and landscapes along the California coast. With a Masters in Applied Environmental Science from CSUMB, she brings both artistic vision and scientific insight to her work, ensuring her images resonate with authenticity and respect for the natural world.
Colette operates her own fine art photography business, offering handmade, matted prints crafted from scratch out of her own home. She takes great pride in assembling each piece herself, meticulously using archival materials and conservation framing techniques to ensure your investment in a piece of art lasts for generations.
