Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation
Dolores Zeolla-Bartsch

I was born and raised in Newton Massachusetts, lived briefly in El Paso, Texas, and two years in Hanau, Germany before moving to California. Growing up I watched my father, also an artist, create lovely oil paintings of landscapes and flowers. This encouraged me to pick up pen and paper and I found I had a natural talent for drawing. Often, life moves us away from what we love, so for a decade or so I sadly left my art. I have now found my way back to what I love, which is creating animal portraits and floral designs for framing and custom greeting cards. As a self taught artist I experiment with ink, pencil, acrylic paint and watercolor using whatever medium suits the portrait I am working on. I am a member of the Seaside Artists Association and I look forward to being a member of the Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation as well. As a member, I look forward to being part of this talented group of artists and to expanding my creative abilities.
