Victoria Galitzine

PictureCarmel Beach Lookout, 11x14, oil on panel
Victoria is an award winning landscape painter living in Aptos, California. She works in oil, painting both “en plein air” (outside, on location) and in her studio.
Her plein air work captures the spirit of the moment. Working quickly while immersed in her subject matter, her brushstrokes are intuitive and impressionistic, yet she leans on realism and has a signature crispness to her style. Her studio work reflects the same energy she has acquired through years of observational study in the field. Her work encourages the viewer to slow down and observe the subtle relationships within a landscape - the light, the shadow, the movement of color. By allowing herself to get lost in the moment, her work welcomes others to do the same.
Find more information on her website www.victoriagalitzine.com and contact her at [email protected]
