"By artists, for artists."

The Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation (MPAF) was founded to bring artists together for fellowship, the exchange of ideas, and to further art education of artists and the public. It was conceived in the late 1970's in Dick Crispo's living room with founding members Kay Cline, Ilene Tuttle, Rudolpho Nava and of course Dick.
We received our 501-c3 status in 1981 and gladly accept donations. We support public art work and cooperate with other groups in public art activities. We hold workshops and lectures, have a scholarship fund, and maintain this website showing our members' work.

Membership in MPAF
Membership in MPAF is $20 per year and is open to anyone. Each member receives a portfolio page on this website. If you are interested in becoming a member please contact us. By long tradition, MPAF does not jury an artist's work and believes that artists must have an opportunity to show their work. Membership in MPAF is not a membership in the gallery on Cannery Row. The gallery waiting list is closed. Applications for gallery space are not being accepted at the present time.
Gallery on Cannery Row

MPAF sponsors a limited membership co-op gallery at the historic 425 Cannery Row address in Monterey. View the 1952 film "Clash by Night" featuring Marilyn Monroe on our gallery page.
