Charlotte Pollock
Charlotte Pollock’s work explores ways of making a subjective world accessible through manipulating oil paint and cutting paper. She views art-making as a ritualistic and meditative process. Loving art’s cathartic qualities, she uses it as a vehicle for self-exploration and a way to connect with others.
She has recently moved to Monterey from Louisville, Kentucky to pursue arts on the West Coast. She received her BFA degree from University of Louisville and studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France, where she learned plein-air painting.
Other professional work includes intricate pumpkin carving and teaching children’s art classes. She has been painting commissions and exhibiting artwork since 2008 and has been featured in several statewide publications.
