Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation

Diane Grindol

PictureSpring Wildflowers, watercolor, 5 x 7
Diane Grindol earned a BA in Art from William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri. Part of her studies was a year abroad in France, where she attended several classes at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nantes. Diane returned to art after a 25-year hiatus, attending an animal drawing class, taught by Marie Gilmore for years, and eventually began teaching Adult School classes herself. She is inspired by the natural beauty of the Monterey Peninsula, and loves capturing it in drawings, paintings and photographs. In November 2020, the Arts Council for Monterey County commissioned Diane to submit a painting that became the design for a mask distributed at Chamber of Commerce locations.
