Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation

Glenn McGovern

PictureBoudoir I - An abstract female figure sculpted from translucent Italian Alabaster, it sits upon a granite base. It measures twenty-one inches tall, not including the base.
I have been sculpting stone for eight years having first learned the art form at the Palo Alto Art Center, followed by the School of Visual Philosophy in San Jose.  My work has appeared at shows in the Dali Museum in Monterey and the Moss Landing Marine Labs.  Presently, I am teaching an Introduction to Stone Sculpture class offered in the spring and autumn at the Lyceum of Monterey.
