Nancy Donaldson PhD., RN (Inactive), FAAN, is Clinical Professor Emerita, UCSF School of Nursing and an emerging mixed media, nature print and photo artist. Nancy’s journey as an artist has benefited from growth fostering community-based education by gifted teachers and mentors over the past decade.
Nancy first exhibited her photos at the Pacific Art League Show in 2016 and in 2017 Nancy was invited to participate in the Filoli Regional Mixed Media Exhibit. From July 2018-2021 Nancy was a member of the Art Council for Monterey County’s Art Works Cooperative. In 2019 Nancy’s botanical direct print “Blue Elderberry” was awarded third prize at the CCAA Fall Show and in 2010 her “Spring Lupine” landscape photo received a second-place ribbon at the Monterey Country Fair. In 2023 Nancy’s photograph “Nepenthe Poppy Hill” was selected for exhibit in the Monterey County Government Center and in 2024 her photo “Godwit Gathering” was selected to for the CCAA yearlong exhibit at the Monterey Airport.
In 2022 Nancy established Bay Art With Heart studio, a working studio, classroom, and gallery, in collaboration with established artist Diane Grindol. Nancy is a member of The Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation, Central Coast Art Association, Sea Scribes, the Nature Printing Society and the Hui No. Eau Visual Arts Center, Maui, where her photo notecards of Maui displayed in their gift shop.
