Sandra Schaetzel Uecker

Sandra Schaetzel Uecker, a Fond du Lac, Wisconsin native, resides in Corral de Tierra, California. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a BS in Education/English and BA in Art Education. She is a career secondary art educator who taught at Alisal and North Salinas High Schools, in Salinas, California. In 2011, retired from teaching, she returned to her love of painting in acrylics. Influenced by Hopper, Vuillard, O’Keeffe and French Post- Impressionists. Her chosen subject matter includes narrative landscapes, still life and some portrait.​

Sandra is a member of the Thelma Art Center, Fond du Lac, the Fond du Lac Visual Artists, the Fond du Lac Artist Association and the Wisconsin Regional Artist Association. Locally, she is a member of the Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation, the Central Coast Artist Association, Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association, Central Coast Plein Air Painters, an Associate Member of the Carmel Art Association, the Pacific Grove Art Center, the Monterey Museum of Art. She is a contributing artist to the Monterey Museum of Art “Miniatures," the Pacific Grove Tiny Treasures, the Carmel Bach Festival Art Show “Art in the Pastures of Heaven” at the Church of the Good Shepard, the Cherry Foundation, Carmel and The Arts Council for Monterey County.
