Tia Sanders

PictureTia Sanders
Tia Sanders is a visual artist whose work consists of acrylic paintings on panel, collage, watercolor, Monotype prints, and wearable fabric sculptures which all center on the theme of the human body. Her full-body costumes are alter-“skins” which she uses in her performance pieces. Her work is pensive, playful, and vivid, and probes the meaning of being in a body and yet being made of spirit. She uses a surrealist style to layer systems of the body in lush dreamscapes which incorporate medical illustrations and diagrams.
